The CELTA course was the most powerful and straightforward course I have ever done. Not having any language teaching educational background I could succeed in many areas. Peer learning was the most valuable experience in the course! New approaches are absolutely applicable in teaching not only language but other subjects as well. Now having class is much pleasant with clear stages and outcomes.

The most important part of CELTA for me was detecting the strengths and areas for development as a professional. During the course we tested our skills in Teaching Practices and got crystal clear feedbacks on them. Tutors were very helpful and supportive even though they led us to independent work at the final stage of the course. Tutors never left our queries not answered. What I really liked about CELTA most was that we learned not just trying the new techniques out, but our peers showed both what to do and what not to do during TPs. After we finished the course, the feeling was wonderful: we did it! But at midnight on the day we completed the course I noticed something really interesting was missing.... that was CELTA!

I will be wrong if I say that CELTA has completely changed my life and the way of my teachings but I won’t be wrong if I don’t say that CELTA helped me to generate all my experience both teaching and life to make me a better teacher. In addition, CELTA gave me a unique opportunity to meet professionals who did not become my competitors but great friends.

I’m delighted that I have studied on the CELTA course but it is a pity that the course came to an end. It was very nice experience to get prepared for TP in a rush and after the lesson to listen to the nice feedbacks of our tutors. I’ve never had a chance of attending such a great practice. I found it very beneficial to observe my tutors as well as my colleagues and to be observed. Without any hesitation, I can say that my attitude towards teaching adults changed during the CELTA course. I have learned a lot, now I am able to set the task without long and tedious instructions. Instead of instructing, it is much easier to demonstrate, mime, chest out and ask students ‘what should we do’. I will keep implementing new skills which I have acquired on the course in my teaching practices. Mumtoza Yusupova

I am really happy to do the CELTA course. Here I gained too much experience which I thought I had. I had wonderful trainers who were very strict but really supportive and kind at the same time. I got acquainted with lovely people whom I will always remember for the rest of my life.
Doing the CELTA is not just gaining experience but it is a key to a new life. I am very blessed to do it.

I have just finished the 4 week intensive and practical CELTA course and I must say it was absolutely fantastic! Comparing to my previous teaching style here I have gained a massive tool kit of entirely new techniques. We were taught a perfect teaching methodology which enables students to take responsibility for their own learning! I really can’t thank enough Joe and Christopher for their feedback which has been and still is valuable. Due to their patience and guidance we completed both the theoretical and practical part of our training with ease. I can claim now that I will walk into a classroom much more confident in my teaching qualification than before! Special thanks I want to express to Edu-Action staff, particularly to Mekhribon, who was/is extremely competent and wonderful to work with. I’d recommend this course to anyone!

CELTA course is very intensive and challange. Anyway CELTA opens many doors for me. We were teaching from Day 2. Tutors on our course were available for help and support us while guiding us through a process of discovering for ourselves. I learnt a lot from input and feedback sessions. They were very thorough and constructive. After them we tried to improve our weak points and go ahead to the next stage of teaching. Also I learnt lots of new methods of teaching in a very short time in my TPs. Now I am able to use all these techniques in my classroom.

The course came to end and this is my final impressions of running full time CELTA course in Tashkent,Uzbekistan. I hardly had teaching experience before starting CELTA, but I 100%sure, that course dramatically changed my teaching performance. CELTA is a good way to expand my horizon and boost my teaching career in this field. Moreover, it bonded a tie among 2 tutors: Joe and Christopher, and 12 trainees. Im so happy that I have you- CELTA in my life.

The paramount part of the CELTA course is teaching practice where you try to explore yourself and make experiments by applying what you have learnt in input sessions. The tremendous value of feedback part makes you grow up and become mature in the field of teaching a language. And of course, peer observation is also a vital part of the course where you recognize strong and weak points of teaching process. Each moment in the CELTA course was chalenging, at the same time entertaining that will stick in my memory.

After a month of hard work and the receipt of the long-awaited grade, I would name the following aspects as the core benefits of the CELTA course: 1. Although a large amount of information is instructed, everything is to the point and concise. As a result, no time is wasted for unnecessary activities. 2. While ensuring that everyone follows the set requirements, the course allows certain freedom in designing lessons. Therefore, trainees are encouraged to try their own ideas so that students benefit the most. 3. Tutors take a personalised approach to trainees and make sure that everybody improves their teaching skills. You may have twenty-year long teaching experience or you may have never been in front of a class, you will have had progress after the CELTA course. A piece of adivce for prospective trainees. The course is intense and will take the majority of your life for one month. Before doing it, make sure that you have no other activities planned as you will not be able to do them. To succeed, listen carefully to what your tutors say and follow their advice. I would also recommend to revise notes. Thus, when you return home, re-read what you have done today and make sure that you indeed understand it. Finally, start doing your assignments and lesson plans earlier. It is not a good idea to leave everything for the last day (and night)? Have a draft ready 1-2 days before the deadline. Then you will be able to do small changes in the last day and have a good rest before teaching a lesson tomorrow.
